Chris Robert
GUT HEALTH COACH & FOUNDER
My journey into gut health began out of necessity. In my twenties, I was diagnosed with ulcerative colitis and told medication or surgery were my only options. I refused to accept that as my future. Instead, I committed to a natural approach—and it changed everything. Over time, I became symptom-free and medication-free, and it gave me a new purpose: helping others do the same.
When I was struggling, I often got turned away by companies unwilling to work with someone with a chronic condition. Once I found a solution for myself, I made it my personal mission to build a gut health service that caters to those who need it the most—people who have been overlooked or dismissed but still want to reclaim their health.
Today, I work with people who are struggling with a range of gut-related issues, from IBD, IBS, SIBO, and food fear. My mission is to simplify gut health and help clients rebuild their health step by step, without overwhelm. Through a clear framework that includes nutrition, mindset, and lifestyle, I support people to take back control and finally feel like themselves again.
What sets my work apart is that I’ve lived it. I don’t just offer textbook advice—I use real-world strategies that helped me heal, and now help others do the same. My approach is practical, honest, and personalised to each client. We work together to uncover root causes, break old habits, and create lasting change.
Alongside coaching, I’m building The Gut Coach into a platform that offers expert guidance, accessible education, and a supportive community for anyone ready to take their gut health seriously.
When I’m not coaching, you’ll find me outdoors, cooking, or enjoying a slower pace of life in sunny Suffolk—where I now live and run my business.

REGISTERED NUTRITIONAL THERAPIST
Like many in this field, my journey into nutrition began with my own health challenges. Childhood eczema, asthma, and allergies eventually led to a coeliac diagnosis in my twenties. That turning point transformed my health and sparked a deep interest in the healing power of food. After a career in corporate project management and becoming a mother in 2012, I followed my passion and retrained as a Nutritional Therapist.
Since 2018, I’ve helped clients of all ages overcome a wide range of gut-related issues, from bloating and IBS to IBD and indigestion. I believe that while these symptoms are common, they’re not normal—and with the right support, the body has a remarkable ability to heal. Most of my clients see significant improvements within a few months, and many become completely symptom-free.
My approach is highly personalised and food and lifestyle first. I take time to understand the full story behind your symptoms and create a realistic, step-by-step plan tailored to your unique needs. This may include dietary adjustments, supplements, lifestyle shifts, or functional testing when needed. No two journeys are the same.
I’m a qualified Nutritional Therapist, trained at the College of Naturopathic Medicine in London and the Institute for Functional Medicine. I’ve worked in both GP practices and functional clinics, alongside doctors in the UK and Sweden.
Our collaboration grew organically out of a mutual understanding of a client-centred approach and a food and lifestyle first approach to healing. Together, we combine expertise and real-world experience to provide practical, sustainable guidance for gut health.
Outside of work, I’m a nature-loving Swede with a love for morning swims, good food, and quality time with loved ones. Having lived abroad for 25 years, including 13 in the UK, I now call Sweden home again.
